Beyond Water Boilers at HOST Milan 2019
HOST Milan is THE show for foodservice and catering equipment and this year we’re excited to showcase our newest products alongside upcoming innovations.
Our booth will feature established, trusted products such as the Marco SP9 and Marco MIX as well as some exciting new developements (keep reading, we’ve saved the best til last.)
Leaders in Innovation
We’ve been industry leaders in hot water boilers and coffee brewers for over 40 years. With knowledge and innovation as our core brand values we have developed a wide range of stylish, reliable and energy-efficient water boilers and coffee brewers.
In 2018 we pushed our innovative mindset beyond the world of hot water boilers and into the cold-water market with our newest product: FRIIA.
FRIIA
Developed to meet the increasing demand for fresh, healthy beverage choice, particularly in corporate spaces, FRIIA can deliver hot/cold or hot/cold/sparkling water through a single, sleek font.
The compact, modular undercounter system incorporates a water chiller and award-winning water boiler. The undercounter chiller incorporates aluminium block technology to chill incoming water by an average of 10˚ and the boiler contains a vacuum insulated tank to ensure temperature accuracy and energy-efficiency. In fact, FRIIA is 23% more energy-efficient than leading competitors.
In keeping with our established position as a leader in design, the FRIIA font has a sleek, brushed metal finish and premium LED feature. In response to the growing trend of clean, uncluttered counters, the font also has a minimal counter footprint.
FRIIA comes in two varieties: FRIIA HC (hot/cold) and FRIIA HCS (hot/cold/sparkling.)
Both varieties are also available in PLUS options with higher hot water volumes.

Marco MIX
MIX is a true innovation as it was the first commercial water boiler in the UK to move the boiler under the counter and dispense water through a sleek, stylish countertop font.
The MIX font has three buttons, each delivering water at different temperatures and different pre-set volumes. This allows the user to create a range of different hot beverages with a more efficient, customer-facing delivery; in short: the server no longer turns away from the customer to make tea or coffee and can handle other tasks while the water is pouring. One customer saw a 30% increase in coffee volume in the first 2 weeks after installing MIX.
The MIX also utilizes a patented vacuum insulted technology to keep temperature precise and most, importantly: makes the system up to 70% more energy-efficient than leading competitors. Owners will often find that with such efficient running costs, MIX will offset the initial system cost in energy-savings within the first 2-3 years.
MIX is available in undercounter or countertop push button varieties.
Marco Coffee Brewers: SP9 and Jet

Our brewers the Marco JET and Marco SP9 Twin meet different customer needs. Whilst both are ultra-precise and consistent they vary in size and application.
Jet is a programmable, intuitive system that ensures all elements of the brewing process are controlled and is perfect for hotels, large offices, banquets and commercial kitchens. Allowing for precise portion control, Jet gives users the ability to programme brew recipes for three different batch sizes. The Jet ensures temperature accuracy by circulating water around the system to minimise temperature fluctuation during brewing.
The 6 litre portable urns are vacuum insulated to give world class heat retention and the accompanying Jet Coffee Grinder works in conjunction with the brewer to ensure that the grinder always delivers the correct amount of coffee for the set recipe, minimising operator ensure and ensuring consistent, reliable brewing.

Marco SP9
The SP9 on the other hand is the perfect addition to any speciality coffee shop or roastery. Whilst it also circulates water between the head and boiler to ensure that temperature remains exact during each
brew it is a smaller, single-cup brewer that can be used with Chemex, Kalita or Hario V60.
The SP9 takes the inconsistency out of pourover by mtaintaining water temperature and pulses throughout brewing. Incorporating pre-infusion and pulse-brewing the SP9 allows for a by-the-cup filter-coffee menu.

Draft Coffee Dispense
Our newest, most exciting development will be showcased a HOST: draft coffee systems. At HOST we will be demonstrating a new product range, currently in development that will be launched in the coming year.
What are Draft Coffee Systems?
Draft coffee allows the user to dispense hot coffee, cold coffee, a shot of coffee concentrate and hot water from a single-coffee source and single font. The range will include different font configurations for different service needs. There will be a 4 button option that allows users to create a whole range of hot and cold coffee drinks and single button options for self-service applications will dispense hot or cold coffee as required.
These dispense systems require either a coffee concentrate source or can be used with ready-to-drink beverages.
Solving the problem of space, bulky equipment and work-flow, the draft coffee dispense fonts are a sleek, elegant solution that give customers the convenience and flexibility of delivering multiple beverages from a single font and single source.
