The Marco Experience begins with precise equipment that helps foodservice businesses provide quality, consistent beverages to their customers. Our range of hot water dispensers, fonts, coffee brewers, and cold-water dispensers are all designed to help staff prepare consistent, delicious-tasting beverages, time and time again.

As well as providing precision and quality, our equipment also has a clear focus on convenience and usability. 

For example, the Ottomatic® Cofeemaker allows users to brew barista-quality filter coffee at home, with just a push of a button. The at-home coffee brewer manages critical brewing variables to achieve a precise, consistent brew, and uses pulse brewing technology to guarantee even extraction. 

When it comes to larger filter coffee batches, there is a similar focus in precision in Marco’s batch brewers. The JET range, for instance, makes it simple to brew high-quality coffee in larger quantities without sacrificing quality. 

With JET batch brewers users can control a range of brewing variables, before pressing a button to brew the coffee, allowing them to focus on other tasks around the business. It provides consistent filter coffee, with minimal operator error.

Marco tracks common pain points in the hospitality industry and uses them to inform the design process, thereby creating equipment that better matches the needs of our customers. This helps deliver sleek, compact equipment that’s both simple and efficient. 

The Marco MIX boiler is a great example. Its undercounter compact design helps to optimise space in already-cramped café layouts and helps to streamline employee workflow. 

With the push of a button, the MIX can also dispense liquids at three different temperatures, making it a versatile piece of equipment with a range of uses.

David Crescenzo, Sales Manager at Voltage Coffee Supply, is also a long-time Marco client. He notes that alongside the MIX , there is another range which helps hospitality businesses be more versatile.

“The FRIIA is by far the most popular model,” he says. “Its flexibility and the number of applications really sets it apart,” he says.

The FRIIA is a versatile, multi-purpose cold-water system that can dispense hot, cold, or sparkling water from a single tap. Its boiler and chiller unit sit beneath the counter, giving it a sleek and discreet design. Cafés can use FRIIA to make a range of beverages such as americanos, tea, lemonade and other cold beverages.

The FRIIA cold water dispensing systems also serve as a useful alternative to traditional POU water fountains or office coolers. They can also be customer-facing, allowing people to easily fill up their water without pulling staff away from other essential tasks.

Marco Beverage Experience - Hospitality industry demands and trends The Marco Beverage Experience is also shaped by trends in the wider foodservice industry. We track trends to make sure we can help customers capitalise on them and offer the beverages that consumers want, made the way that they want. 

“We feel that Marco is a true partner that we can grow with and help achieve our goals together,” David says. “We aim to be a full-service solution, and Marco fills a gap for our customers.”

Meanwhile, Matthew notes: “At Espresso Mechanics, we were missing fresh brew, filter, and hot water dispensing units in our coffee equipment portfolio.

“Adding Marco brewing systems allowed us to be a one-stop-shop for all our café, roaster, and distributor’s needs.”

Marco Beverage Experience - POUR’DOne of the best examples of this is POUR’D: a range of coffee concentrate solutions for hospitality and foodservice businesses.

The POUR’D was initially launched in response to the explosion of cold coffee and cold brew over the last few years. However, one of the biggest limitations with cold coffee is consistency and time. Baristas would need to either dilute concentrate by hand, or head to the fridge for RTD cold brew. Also the taste and quality of cold brew can vary from brew to brew.

However, with POUR’D, hospitality businesses can use any ready-to-drink (RTD) bag-in-box coffee or concentrate to create instant cold coffee beverages for their customers. It allows businesses to offer a wide variety of cold coffee drinks using just one dispenser, and provides some much-needed variety on café menus (especially during summer months).

Another example of Marco products responding to trends is the development of the touchless FRIIA hands-free font. In response to rising demands for touchless products which helped to maximise hygiene and customer welfare, the FRIIA hands-free font was launched to minimise the number of customer touchpoints in hospitality settings – keeping both staff and customers safe.

A Focus On Energy-Efficiency

Alongside a focus on precision, quality, convenience, and emerging trends, Marco equipment is also energy-efficient – which helps foodservice operators reduce their costs as well as their impact on the environment. 

“Our best seller in the Marco range is the UC3 with a three-button font,” Matthew tells us. “The three different temperature controls allow customers to adjust three different temperature settings for different beverages, which need different brew temperatures to maximise flavour.”

As well as providing this versatility, Marco MIX and UC3 boilers are 70% more energy-efficient than other alternative products on the markets. This is because the water heaters in both the MIX and UC3 boast top-of-the-line, vacuum-insulated tanks which retain more heat for longer.

This means less wasted energy, which is better for the planet, as well as businesses’ bottom line.
