The Marco SP9 – Automated Pour-Over Coffee Brewer
Developed with consistent, high filter quality coffee in mind, the Marco SP9 is a single serve brewer with a sleek counter-top footprint and a striking design profile. The Marco SP9 is an automated filter coffee brewer that takes away the variables of hand brewing, delivering perfect coffee every time.
The Marco SP9 was developed over 18 months as part of the Marco “Über Project“, an ongoing, innovation-led project that focuses on exploration and research.
It uses our “pillar technology” that pumps up from the specifically designed undercounter boiler into SP9’s re-circulation chamber in the head. The water is then dispensed onto the coffee bed at volume and timing standards selected by the user. This ensures the water never loses temperature so the recipe and coffee remain consistent brew after brew. The SP9 pulses water 9 times, incorporating pre-infusion and pulse brewing and can be used with a Chemex, Kalita or Hario V60.
The Marco SP9 is relatively “simple,” perhaps deceptively so, as the degree of temperature and timing control it offers are the result of complex and carefully considered engineering. A barista favourite the Marco SP9 gives the operator complete control over recipe whilst enabling precise, consistent brewing.
