The Marco B Giving Group
To celebrate achieving our B Corp Certification in January 2024, we’re delighted to announce our B Giving Group Initiative. The B Giving Group initiative will see Marco donate 1% of orders placed by fellow B Corp businesses to charity from now until 1st December 2024.
As a B Corp certified company, Marco is part of a global community of businesses that strive to balance profit with purpose. Several of our existing customers who are also a part of the B Corp Movement have already joined the B Giving Group. These include Bristol based specialty coffee roaster Clifton Coffee, Origin Coffee in Cornwall, awarded Europe’s best speciality coffee roaster in 2023. Best-selling and globally known Illy Coffee, leaders in sustainable and ethical practices Pact Coffee, Velo Coffee, and Equator Coffee, 1st B Corp certified coffee roaster in California
Our B Corp Focus Areas
In addition to the Marco B Giving Group, our B Corp initiatives are represented across our four focus areas of Employee, Operations, Community, and Environment.
Key highlights include:
- In 2022 Marco was the first Irish SME to support the Nature Trust, an Irish organisation dedicated to reforestation in Ireland.
- In 2022 Marco launched a Scholarship Programme with a University to support female students in STEM who are at risk of dropping out of college due to financial strain.
- In 2023 Marco reduced their Greenhouse Gas Emissions 54% compared to the previous year.
