As you may have seen, we’ve been working alongside our friends at La Marzocco, Cafe Imports and Workshop Coffee Co. to bring A Film About Coffee (www.afilmaboutcoffee.co.uk) to audiences across the UK. And now, we’re delighted to announce that Marco will be hosting screenings in Ireland, with the latest screening happening at the Dublin Science Gallery in Dublin.
A Film About Coffee follows the production of coffee from farms in Honduras and harvests in Rwanda to its global consumption. Listening to farmers, buyers, roasters and baristas about the crop’s economic and environmental implications both locally and abroad, the narrative travels to coffee shops in Tokyo, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and New York, with stops in between. Dropping in on artisanal cafes to investigate how each prepares its own unique cup, the film opens a window into the little-understood world of speciality coffee.
On the evening of December 4th we will welcome coffee and film lovers alike to Dublin’s beautiful Dublin Science Gallery for a celebration of the delights of both the cup and the screen. Alongside the screening we have partnered up with Cloud Picker Coffee to provide fantastic coffee service on the night.
We are particularly happy to have partnered with the Science Gallery on this occasion as they have a proud tradition of running documentaries in a fantastic surrounding (you should really visit the gallery anyway!) and it is one of the coolest places to grab a coffee in Dublin with the guys at Cloud Picker running an awesome cafe in there.
And there will be the usual familiar Marco faces, the JET and some exquisite coffee there from even earlier.
Come along, join in the fun and enjoy a great film.
We, of course, couldn’t do this without the help and support of the film’s national partners.
